Trust your instincts. If you fear that you're partner might hurt you or try to find you if you leave, leave safely. But do leave.
Many victims of domestic abuse and violence are so afraid of what their partner will do to them if they leave end up staying to "avoid" the violence. But what they don't realize is that STAYING is just as dangerous, or even MORE dangerous, than leaving.
If you are living with an abusive, violent partner, the best and safest thing to do is to LEAVE. But you must leave SAFELY. There are ways to do this, and there are many local agencies who can help you leave safely.
If you are in immediate danger of harm call 911 immediately. For non-emergency assistance contact (250) 992-8472.
